From a young age, animals have always been at the centre of my heart and have always been a part of my life. I started practising dog grooming on my own dog, Rusty the cockapoo, and realised this is what I love doing! I then continued my journey in obtaining my qualification in Level 3 Dog Grooming. During this time, Tanya's Tails was founded in 2021.
In 2023 Tanya's Tails had been nominated for England's Business Awards in the category Best Pet Grooming in Staffordshire. While I did not win overall this is an amazing achievement for my business and the experience is something that I will forever be grateful for!
I am passionate about what I do and work with absolute care when handling your dog. I have been grooming dogs of all sizes, colour and breeds in the heart of Tamworth. I love dogs, if it wasn’t clear already, and always treat the dogs gently while cutting their hair or trimming their nails. The safety and well-being of your dog is prioritised at each appointment.

When it comes to taking your dog for their grooming appointment I know that it can be a little overwhelming for your fur baby so I make sure that your pet is feeling comfortable and calm before we start any grooming. This involves giving lots of fuss and cuddles and the occasional tasty treat!

Our Springer Jess is a nervous girl, so we needed to find a groomer that would put her (and us) at ease. She doesn’t always cope well in new situations but Jess immediately warmed to Tanya who was calm and gentle with her. We were so relieved when we collected her and she was happy and content. She looks brilliant and smells amazing. We feel really fortunate to have found Tanya, she did an amazing job.
I have a very excitable three year old cocker spaniel who has never had a professional grooming until today when Tanya came. She managed to calm him with lots of praise and encouragement and was very patient with him. Was very pleased with his groom and will definitely be making it a regular appointment with Tanya
